Led by Rémi Georges, the live-coding workshops offer a unique and accessible introduction to electronic music through coding. No prior experience in programming or music is required.
Throughout the day, participants learn how to generate sounds, create rhythms, and transform music in real time using live-coding tools. The morning is devoted to learning the basics and experimenting with their first lines of code. The afternoon focuses on structuring a piece and exploring improvisation.
The live-coding workshops are based on play, listening, and experimentation, and are open to participants ages 15 and up.
The Salim-Hatubou Media Library is offering a workshop session on June 13.
The workshop will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
