PERFORMANCE
Beirut Birds
Beirut Birds is a sound capsule that interweaves live improvisations, interviews, field recordings and the sounds of objects symbolizing migration. Performed live, it is accompanied by juxtaposed images of urban life in the Lebanese capital and the migration of birds across the Mediterranean. An approach that is both intimate and political.
Nour Sokhon
design, composition, manipulation, live electronics, image projections
Gabriel Haddad

Tue. October 21, 2025 | 7:00 pm
Friche la Belle de Mai (Petit Plateau)
CONCERT
Auzet, Collignon, Jodlowski, Wendling
Quartet exploring the paths of improvised music, jazz and electronic music. ACJW is the result of an exceptional encounter between four contemporary artists who construct free and spontaneous listening trajectories.
Between live video, written and improvised music, acoustic and electric, a percussion panel is jostled by various electronic instruments and sounds... A daring collaboration.
Roland Auzet

Médéric Collignon

Modulations (GMEM) & JEST - Jamais d'Eux Sans Toi (AMI)
An evening of partnership based around two concerts...
Tue. November 18, 2025 | 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm
7:00 pm | Part 1 :
La Prédiction des oscillations
The fruit of a meeting between a composer and a neuroscience researcher, this "unidentified musical and scenic object" weaves scientific discourse on the workings of our brains, contemporary musical creation and original theatrical situations with humor and poetry. A blend of sensibility and knowledge, in joyful spaces of resonance.
Benjamin Dupé
conception, music, dramaturgy and direction, live musical electronics, spoken voice
Daniele Schön
creative associate, cello, spoken voice
Julien Frénois
sound and technical direction
9:00 pm | Part 2 :
PERFORMANCE
Substrate
An inverted ceremony in which the performers break down the music. A guitar is already playing with itself, placed in front of an amp, feeding a drone saturated with its own feedback. The adrenalin of feedback gives way to a swarm of acoustic micro-phenomena... A plunge into a dazed state enhanced by a play of lights and spectral smoke.
Flore & Arandel
design, musical composition, performers
Julien Appert & Julien Dufou
smoke and light design
Sun. December 14, 2025 | 11:00 am

CONCERT
Inflexions
A set of pieces with changing, unpredictable variations. Using a connected ring, the singer manages her relationship with the sound events embedded in the spoken and sung words, integrating a degree of invention and uncertainty into the performance. It's no longer a question of fixed notes, but of sound choreography with multiple states and intensities.

Affine plan
Carte blanche to Jean-Philippe Gross.
Between quasi-metronomic percussion and intriguing soundscapes, this three-part evening blends repetitive music, drone and electroacoustics. Jean-Philippe Gross develops a physical relationship with sound, playing with ruptures and acoustic phenomena at the crossroads of electronic and instrumental music.
