Grand8 has been organizing a festival on the theme of openness to multidisciplinary improvisational approaches since 2019. Once again this year, Grand Vertige crosses Marseilles, taking over venues as diverse as they are unique: performance halls, third-party venues, urban spaces, parks, nature.
For this evening at the Module du GMEM, Grand8 and guest collective Le Fondeur de Son (Paris) present a double ensemble concert. 23 musicians on stage for a highlight of the festival.

Grand8
Grand8 was formed in 2016 by a group of musicians from the South of France. The ensemble grew out of an urgency to improvise, and a desire and pleasure to play together, in a large ensemble, without a conductor. Grand8 carries various projects, encounters and creations linked to musical and multidisciplinary improvisation.
Le Fondeur de Son
Le Fondeur de Son, a Parisian collective founded in 2012, makes sound music vibrate, non-hierarchical, unpredictable, free of frameworks. LFDS organizes joyful events, celebrating exchange, surprise and open-mindedness, the meeting of the arts, such as monthly improv jams open to all.
