Purpose of the residency: creation
Sentimental history of intervals
Concert and sound archive for Ensemble Dedalus.
Histoire sentimentale des intervalles is a composition built around the relationship between subjectivity, memory and harmony, tracing the emotional stratifications, memories and idiosyncrasies that make up the collective ear and musical sensibility of an ensemble. The piece creates one or more harmonic universes from "found" sound materials (or found tunings) through free or synesthetic associations generated by the musicians of the Dedalus ensemble.
