A place of conviviality and exchange, Le Vélo Théâtre brings together artists, volunteers, and audiences in a shared, lively, and welcoming space.
The multidisciplinary program combines object theater, dance, circus, music, poetry, arts, and sciences and is aimed at all audiences. Each year, around ten companies are welcomed into residence, benefiting from artistic, technical, and human support to explore new forms. The so-called "territorial" residencies, which are built in close connection with the territory and its inhabitants, constitute a strong focus where artists are invited to create by promoting encounters and the emergence of localized artistic forms.
Co-directed by Mickaël Chouquet and Balthazar Daninos (Groupe n+1), Vélo Théâtre is a key player in the puppetry and object theater sector.
