Inspired by notions of space, ritual and ecology, she uses her sound collection in her practice of free improvisation with the help of a real-time digital sound processing platform. Digging into raw material in search of textures and rhythms, she creates teeming, immersive pieces with sounds recorded in-situ, deployed for a specific project and moment.
Laureate of the Institut Français in 2015, she focuses her work on sound ecology: her latest works question our place in the universe or alongside a complex ecosystem such as the river. Her research, explorations, recordings and compositions converge on a particular attention to the world through sound, from the banks of the Rhône to the cosmos.
She bases her research on scientific aspects, drawing her sources from real-life experience in order to convey them sensitively in sound works, mixing pure sounds from the field with experimental interpretation. In particular, she created Métamorphoses, an immersive multiphonic sound installation, and Horizon(s), an audiovisual installation in 2023, as well asEXO - Archéologie Spatio-Temporelle in 2015, with Félicie d'Estienne d'Orves, a monumental audiovisual installation.
Since 2001, his work has been shown internationally at major events, festivals and venues dedicated to digital arts and experimental music, in installations and sound performances, solo or in collaboration with artists from the experimental scene, from Afghanistan to Chile.
She has performed at Manifesta / Marseille 2020 ; Festival Les Musiques (Marseille ; 2018) ; Nuit Blanche (Paris ; 2005, 2011, 2015, 2018) ; Centre Pompidou (Paris ; 2017) ; Musée de l'Homme (Paris ; 2017) ; Festival REEVOX (Marseille ; 2016) ; Festival PiedNu (Le Havre ; 2015) ; Festival de Arte Sonoro Tsonami (Valparaiso, Chile; 2013, 2015); Le Fest (Tunis, Tunisia; 2011); Send and Receive (Winnipeg, Canada; 2011); Suoni per il Popolo (Montreal, Canada; 2002,2004) and in many other venues and events dedicated to contemporary music, digital art and artistic experimentation.
