After Sans Nom Dit, Pétrole and Les Pupitres de la Cayolle, the GMEM presents its new artistic project in the 15th district: Sonord.
This is a two-year participatory project, conceived with the North Hospital and the residents of the area (QPV Kalliste-La Granière- Solidarité) as the main partners. The project is animated by the guest composer Sébastien Béranger, as well as a collective of artists (composers, speakers) formed for the occasion. The common thread of this action is a radio work of sound collection in the district: sounds of the hospital, of the district, interviews of inhabitants of the territory...
We propose to the various partners, workshops of sound practice, listening sessions, etc. This workshop work and the accumulated sound material will allow us to propose a collective artistic creation at the end of the two years. In addition to the North Hospital, several partners of the territory are mobilized (schools, old people's home...) with the objective of creating new links between the inhabitants, to support the mixity, by using the musical creation as a catalyst.
North Hospital (13015)
- Collection of testimonies: the aim here is to collect the words of patients, staff and users of the hospital, to gradually create a radio narrative.
- Creation of a sound corpus: more specific recordings of the characteristic sounds of the hospital (the machines, the corridors, the tools, the doors, the particular acoustics, etc.).).
- Workshops on the manipulation of sound objects: designed for children, but open to all, these workshops will allow the participants to (re)discover the everyday objects of the hospital through the use of microphones.
- Listening stations: mobile, equipped with headphones, these listening stations will be able to move around the buildings and will offer the public the opportunity to discover the testimonies and sound creations made within the hospital, as the residency progresses.
- Concerts, impromptu auditions, happenings: in the wards, in the waiting rooms, in the patios, in the school of the pediatrics department, in the ophthalmology department, in the outside spaces.
Perrin Notre-Dame-Limite School (13015)
- Workshop of initiation to the voice and electroacoustic transformation: the kindergarten and primary school pupils of the HLM Perrin elementary school work on the voice, singing and orality. The recorded voices of the children will create the sound material of electroacoustic miniatures.
Elsa Triolet College (13015)
- Realization of electroacoustic miniatures: the students of the Elsa Triolet college are initiated to the realization of electroacoustic creations on the motionkit software. In 2021-2022, we will design controllers so that the students can interpret their own miniatures.
Médicis retirement home (13015)
- Workshops around electroacoustic music and collection of testimonies: the residents of the Médicis retirement home are sensitized and initiated to creative music through listening sessions, sessions of collection of words/testimonies on the theme of the 15th district, manipulation of sound objects...

Floriane Dardard
musical artist
After classical studies of cello and singing, Floriane Dardard opens up to improvisation and finds her way in the creation of spontaneous and transporting music. She explores various styles of music, with electroacoustic music becoming her palette of choice, on the border between the raw, present and the synthetic, undulating. In parallel, she explores the unlimited expressive possibilities of the vocal act and trains in opera singing and choral conducting. The collective and pedagogy fascinate her, and since 2018, with the training of intervening musician, she brings the music and the desire to create to all types of public, with a particular attention to the environment of the handicap and the childhood.
