Residency focusing on spatialization, mixing, recording, and performance.
"Poussé Dans La Forêt " is a musical and theatrical project composed and directed by Jean Galmiche, in collaboration with writer and actress Julie Cardile.
This electroacoustic composition offers a free adaptation of *Tom Thumb*, a tale from the oral tradition. It draws in particular on an examination of various versions of a pivotal moment in the story: the second attempt by Tom Thumb’s parents to abandon him, forcing him to spend the night in the Black Forest.
This performance piece, written for saxophone, trumpet, an acousmatic sound system, and four actors, features a stage environment comprising a speaker system and multi-screen video projections. The video work is a collaborative effort between video artist VG Pablo Albandea and animation filmmaker Cécile Paysant.
At the heart of this dreamlike, rich universe, human voices, instrumental textures, and organic and electronic sounds intertwine.
