Research and test residency for subwoofers.
In Pensée à l'instant dite, a mixed piece for female musicians playing infrabass, Soizic Lebrat explores the act of thinking as an inner vibration. Continuing her research into the act of gentleness, initiated in Auscul(p)ter, she questions listening through what escapes language and the ear.
A cellist from Nantes, she combines classical training with an innovative artistic approach combining interpretation, improvisation, composition and experimentation.
Inspired by her practice of thinking while running, which she links to that which guides her musical gesture, she imagines a project based on the vibration of a relaxed bass string, shared with other musicians. Confronted with the stamina and concentration required to continuously produce infrabasses, they reach a state of altered consciousness, conducive to thinking and listening. In this experimental sisterhood, music becomes a field of healing and contagion - a non-verbal transmission from one body to another.
Pensée à l'instant d invites you to experience an intense physical relationship with sound, and to share a deep listening experience that goes beyond the traditional concert setting.
