Creative residency.
A guest at the heart of a dreamlike performance combining sound creation, theater, street art and radio, all with headphones and FM broadcasting.
What do we usually hear on the radio? How do words reach us? Is sound just a vector for the flow of information, or can it also open doors to the imagination? How can we reconnect with the pleasure of collective listening in the podcast age? How can we create a meeting place for street theater and radio art? How can we create a space of freedom for the body, giving rise to freedom of speech?
In this sensory creation, the visible and the invisible blend together to give a new feel to the guest's words and revisit the radio interview. In a scenography of between two worlds, sound is experienced and shared live, actions reveal powerful images, speech is set free, and the audience is invited to bring its senses to life (and perhaps to participate). Here, it's the present moment that takes precedence, moving from introspective and metaphysical moments to more zany ones.
Les Voyages de l'Ame (Journeys of the Soul) is a performance born of the desire to bring together the worlds of radio and live performance.

Les Bruits du Réel
Founded in 2022 by Charles-Henri Despeignes, Les Bruits du Réel brings together artists from a variety of backgrounds, reflecting the polymorphous nature of the projects it undertakes. Always attentive to the dramaturgy offered by the different arts, the immersive forms produced question perceptions and place the Other at the center, the visible and the invisible, reality and fiction.
For many years, Charles-Henri Despeignes has navigated between radio, the street arts, theater, music (composition, sound creation, DJ under the alias Charles FM d'Espagne) - and a little dance.
Les Bruits du Réel // Other works in progress include L'œil Magique, Tunis (supported by the Institut Français de Tunisie et d'Algérie, CNC, RFI), Citizen Band and... More info on request: lesbruitsdureel@gmail.com
