Philippe Foch
Percussionist
For 30 years, he has been exploring a rich sonic landscape, ranging from drums to Asian and Indian percussion (he studied the tablas with Pandit Shankar Ghosh), to raw materials (phonolites, metals, plant matter), and electronic processing. Combining improvised, experimental, and Indian music with his theatrical and performance experiences, his playing and composition draw on a rich palette of traditional techniques, concrete and electronic sounds, as well as a deep physical commitment and a passion for the stage. He has collaborated with numerous artists from the worlds of improvised and electronic music: Erwan Keravec, Sophie Agnel, Kasper T. Toeplitz, Akosh S, Benoit Delbecq, Sylvain Kassap, Didier Petit, Claudia Solal, Mathias Delplanque, Eryck Abecassis… 
MÉTAL MÉMOIRE (a piece for metal sheets and projected film) and LUMENS (a trio with Sophie Agnel on the cordophone and Jean-Gabriel Valot on lighting) are the first two parts of a triptych centered on light, with ASTER serving as the third installment.
He regularly composes and collaborates with theater (François Cervantes, Catherine Germain, Olivier Martin Salvan), circus (Mathurin Bolze, Jeanne Mordoj, Cie Anomalie), dance (Sophiatou Kossoko, Myriam Gourfink, Volmir Cordeiro, Cie LINGA, Hella Fatoumi), as well as writers (Raharimanana and Claudine Galea).

Isabelle Duthoit

Born in 1970 and classically trained, Isabelle Duthoit turned her attention to contemporary music at a very early age. She performed contemporary music while working with various ensembles, such as the Atelier Instrumental du XXe Siècle led by Gilbert Amy, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and later the ensemble L’Itinéraire, and met numerous composers (G. Aperghis, K. Huber, G. Amy, K. Toeplitz, D. D’Adamo, V. Globokar, G. Crumb, P. Dussapin…). She eventually found her true calling in the world of free improvisation. Beginning in 1997, she collaborated with David Chiesa and Laurent Dailleau in triolid and, together with Xavier Charles, Jacques Di Donato, and Tim Hodgkinson, founded Rose and Stomach, a quartet featuring clarinets and other instruments. Since 2005, she has performed with 4 Walls + 2 (Phil Minton, Veryan Weston, Mickaël Vatcher, Luc Ex, Gail Brand). She has independently developed a unique and highly personal vocal technique—one rooted in primitive sounds and cries, sounds that predate language—employing an extremely wide range and dynamic range. Her training as an instrumentalist leads her to use her voice instrumentally rather than for lyrical singing, exploring techniques and timbres far removed from conventional vocal practice.

Christian Sebille

Immersed from a very young age in music lessons and the saxophone quartet based in the basement of his family home, as well as in the rehearsals of the concert bands and the parades of the marching bands conducted by his father, Christian Sebille built a solid foundation in music. But the arrival of a portable Studer tape recorder—which he immediately took to using—also played a key role. Through friends who invited him to join an experimental music group, he discovered freedom of expression and synthesizers. It was during an unlikely encounter with Donato Sartori when he was eighteen—while composing the musical accompaniment for the “masques de villes”—that he naively began to imagine the possibility of a total commitment to music. Christian Sebille trained with Jean Schwarz (Gennevilliers Conservatory), Philippe Prévost (IRCAM), and later Michael Levinas (CNSMD), but it was undoubtedly his close association with Luc Ferrari at La Muse en Circuit that shaped his compositional approach, centered on space, movement, and the extraction of patterns from realistic sound samples.
Naturally curious, he has participated in numerous collaborations with artists from all disciplines (Francisco Ruiz De Infante, Jean Deloche, Nadège Macleay, Emmanuelle Huynh, Nieke Swennnen…). Aside from a few specific pieces, he primarily devotes himself to series that he develops over several years, notably *Villes imaginées*, *Miniatures*, *Concerts radiophoniques*, and, currently, *Paysage de propagations*.
