Purpose of the residency: listening and research for the film's sound creation.

"It's in Marseille, the city where I live, and under the aegis of Pamela Anderson, the misunderstood and resurrected icon of the 90s who inspired this project, that I'm embarking on a film adventure alongside several women who have undergone cosmetic surgery. Who are these women? What are their lives like? What do the operations they undergo actually look like? How do they live after these operations? Why do they resort to cosmetic surgery? Is it a form of submission? Is it a form of freedom? Do they have to explain their choice? Are they "false women" or "real women"?

By questioning the trivialization of cosmetic surgery and medicine, as well as notions of norm and deviance, I'm questioning my own relationship with the feminine. This film is the sharing of a deconstruction, nourished by philosophical, sociological and political readings, time spent in the lives of other women, incursions into the operating room of a young surgeon, viewings of the film Camping Cosmos and Kathy Acker's training videos, a visit to the grave of Lolo Ferrari, tragic oversize figure of French cosmetic surgery, and an almost impossible quest to contact Pamela Anderson.
Perhaps it's also a story of lies and violence, blood and beauty, power and self-assertion." - Nina Gazaniol Vérité
