A musical adaptation of *Home Sweet Home* by Alice Zeniter and Antoine Philias, adapted by Manon Lepauvre.
The score for *Home Sweet Home* aims to create a sonic ecosystem that matches the play’s dramatic ambition—a space where music embodies rebellion, vulnerability, and the unbridled imagination of adolescence. Its musical architecture, structured around a short and a long form, mirrors the very movement of the work, from the intimate to the collective, from experimentation to the epic.
The short form serves as the opera’s foundational unit. Conceived for an actor, a singer, clarinet, trombone, percussion, and electronics, it establishes the project’s fundamental musical language. Its hybrid orchestration, blending acoustic and electronic elements, reflects the aesthetic of the abandoned high school—both a tangible refuge and a realm of the imagination. Mobile and designed for non-traditional venues, it serves as a tool for outreach and a traveling artistic manifesto.
