Supersonique was created in 2022 at the initiative of teachers of the electroacoustic composition classes at the Conservatoire and the Cité de la Musique de Marseille
Supersonique presents works and composers from all over the world, with over 30 nationalities represented. Programming is based on a diversity of aesthetics, an anonymous selection process for the call for works, and parity in gender.
The festival closes on Sunday September 7 with a concert from 12 noon to midnight...
A long concert as the culmination of a dense week rich in exchange and transmission.
From midday to midnight, some 81 pieces will be played in 12 concerts, one per hour. In a space conducive to all kinds of listening postures (sitting on a chair, on a cushion, lying down...), the audience is at the heart of the acousmonium, a set of 47 loudspeakers.
Between the concert space, indoors, in a quiet setting conducive to precise listening, and the outdoor space, an open-air bar, movement is free throughout the day. So everyone can enjoy this long time at their own pace, between precise listening and relaxed socializing.
