"Gong! gang gun! Sound freezes the sun! Punky pork and elephants cry in a pink bag." - Elephant & Sheep

Elephant! You shake your sheep is an unclassifiable object, a playground combining bagpipes and electronic instruments with original lighting design by Rima Ben Brahim. Between experimental transhumance and sonic safari, artist-composer Annabelle Playe and young Scottish musician Harry Gorski-Brown shake up stylistic codes. In the course of their noisily facetious adventures, they conjure up funny and bizarre imaginary worlds, imbued with strangeness and mirage, at the heart of an elephantine and chimerical sonic and visual immersion.

Annabelle Playe and Harry Gorski-Brown are Diaphonique 2022 prizewinners.

NUMEN is an electroacoustic preamble to Elephant! You shake your sheep

The piece invites the audience to pass through the sensitive experience of being gripped by the irruption of the sacred.
Composed in three parts, it develops an immersive universe: drones, masses of sound, contrasting nuances based on sounds derived from electronic lutherie.
