Each year, the GMEM invites an associate composer from the program to present his or her creative works and the reference works that have shaped his or her artistic and professional career.

Based on double listening and shared commentary, Écoutes Commentées are special sessions where audiences are invited to discover new music under professional and exceptional conditions.

Camille Lacroix is a composer and sound artist. Her work currently evolves between the fields of music, visual arts and performance.

For several years now, she has been working on a project inspired by a text by Marcel Duchamp: Transformateur destiné à utiliser les petites énergies gaspillées, which takes the form of electroacoustic pieces, an illustrated booklet and a series of performances.

As part of her performance work, she designs sound and sculptural devices that transform bodies into "living, loud, low-energy ready-mades".

This listening session will explore the ideas of recycling and transformation in the broadest sense: from gestures to energies, from energies to sounds, from sounds to images, from bodies to objects, from objects to sculptures...
