Title tribute to the novel of the same name by Jean Echenoz.
In the manner of inventors and physicists of the late 19th century who staged the progress of their knowledge during scientific conferences, Des éclairs stages electrical energy. The piece attempts a "raw" approach to the musicality of electricity by putting the energy itself in abyss. To reveal in a direct way thanks to the scenography, the pulsation, the wave, the difference of potential, the flow of electrons, which allows to give birth to the sound by the electroacoustic. And by this, gives to see and to hear the electric matter at work. A true return to the origin of sound.
