"A choir made of breaths, microtonal drones, organic, liquid and gaseous voices. A choir of ether, spectral and concrete where semantic glitches appear. An amplified choir, on the surface of the skin, which touches the ears. A choir in the night, at the bend of the eye. A choir without a conductor, friend with a robot" - Natacha Muslera

Chœur Tac-Til founded in 2012 by Natacha Muslera, continues to be a collective work in process. Hosted by the GMEM, Chœur Tac-Til creates and develops with Charles Bascou (engineer developer) and Jérôme Decque (technical director) a contact writing associated with a haptic robot, specifically designed for this choir.

Two forms are articulated within the choir: Tac-Til choir with robot & amplified voices - Tac-Til acoustic choir. Both experiences emit from the darkness and try different listening devices, depending on the spaces and contexts in which the choir is invited to play. The tactile writing weaves a random narrative impregnated with immediate realities: struggles, events, phenomena, desires, noises, biotopes, dreams and drifts, chance as matrix and vital process.

Chœur Tac-Til with a robot :
The vocal pieces are composed-impelled, instantaneously by tactile contact, with the help of a haptic robot : each voice is provided with a sensory desk on which the hands are placed (skin : score). Under each palm of the hand, electromagnets emit pressures, which correspond to a vocal code, inspired by the Morse code, from which a writing by contact "in progress" is elaborated. From 2012, a writing by contact is created within the group, it is polyglot (10 languages + invented), polyvocal, in constant modulation, ephemeral, hardly written, it is erased at once. Based on a non-authoritarian principle, no choirmaster, in each material emanating from the code, a dimension of indeterminacy pre-exists, leaving spaces of creation for each interpreter.

In 2017, Chœur Tac-Til created "Echo systeme with a robot":
A piece each time reinvented, redistributed, about 40 minutes long, entirely composed and driven by the robot, randomly and simultaneously performed by the amplified voices of the choir.

Chœur Tac-Til " Echo systeme acoustic " :
The 10 voices emit from the darkness, they elaborate an acoustic spatialization in the moment and try singular listening experiences. The voices emit visions, they operate a reading of reality, accidentalize the clichés.

The GMEM has been supporting the Chœur Tac-Til project since 2012 (creation within the framework of Reevox 2014).
