As part of the Discovery Program for kindergarten classes, two workshops are offered prior to the show Les oreilles en cœur by Mathilde Lechat.
The first workshop, devoted to listening and the voice, is inspired by the vocal game developed by composer Guy Reibel. Students explore the concept of sound space by listening to objects and instruments, as well as through improvisation and vocal imitation exercises. This introduction to vocalization also helps children become more aware of their breath, breathing, and body vibrations.
The second workshop offers an introduction to recording techniques using static and dynamic microphones. Students are then invited to create a short vocal composition based on haikus, translating poetic images into voice and gesture.
