Les Pupitres de la Cayolle is a shared artistic creation project in the Cayolle area, south of Marseille. Its aim is to get a large part of the district's population to work together in a dynamic of artistic creation and practice, to encourage encounters and sharing between its inhabitants. It will take the form of workshops, concerts and workshops to raise awareness of creative music.
Les Pupitres de La Cayolle is an attempt to create a new and original orchestra, bringing together local residents.

Of the many and varied desks and ensembles that will make up the group, the singing workshop is the most open: anyone is welcome, including those with no previous musical or vocal experience. The first sessions of these workshops will be those of collective experimentation. Together, we'll look for sounds, test them, repeat them, turn them around, superimpose them, extend them, multiply them. The spirit is one of joyful, adventurous artistic experimentation...

To sign up for this workshop, simply send an e-mail to transmission@gmem.org, or come along to the first meeting between the artists and local residents, to be held at the Maison de Quartier de la Cayolle on Monday November 13 at 7:00 pm.
