Research residency for the creation of Sisyphe: treatments, bass feedback, work on effects (pitch, delays...);
Possible piloting of these effects by the percussionist (envisage a system);
Recording of sequences possibly to be re-injected.
Each of these cards, lasting from 3 to 5 minutes, can be considered as a study, as it deals with a particular subject or playing mode: the addition of metals, the various possible strikes (from playing with the hands to drum sticks, or even sounds driven by animated toys), the most tenuous vibrations, the most violent surges...
Some of the cards will call on electronic devices, sometimes simple (reverb, delays, pitches...) sometimes more complex (bass feedback playing melodies).

The "PERCEPTS" Saxophone & Percussion duo was born of the 2003 meeting of two musicians from the CNSM de Paris, Thomas Gobert and David Joignaux.
On this occasion, they will perform recent works by the composer and commission new creations.
Both passionate about the multiple explorations of new music, they soon found themselves working together on a common project: the creation of a new repertoire for saxophone and percussion in close collaboration with various composers. This was soon followed by work with Luis Naén, José Manuel Lopez Lopez, Philippe Leroux and Philippe Manoury, and concert performances of works by Lannis Xenakis, Giorgio Netti, Philippe Hurel, Masakazu Natsuda, Morton Feldman, Pierre Jodlowski, Alejandro Castanos, Lui s-Fernando Rizo-Salom, Maki lshii, Dai Fujikura, Vinko Globokar, Georges Aperghis, Jacques Rebotier and François Sarhan... The diversity of their work has led to forays into improvised music, world music and musical theater.

Sylvain Kassap
composer
Sylvain Kassap's works are as many lands and terroirs with fragrant flavors, sources of sonic intoxications that are sometimes light and refined, sometimes robust and even rough.
A bass clarinet specialist, Sylvain Kassap has been one of the major players in jazz and improvised music since the late 70s: he has been heard on major European stages alongside the driving forces of creation.
An eclectic composer, mainly self-taught, he has written some forty scores for theater, film, dance and television, as well as the repertoires of the various groups he has directed. During the 1990s, he developed a resolutely contemporary style, first influenced by Berio and Donatoni, then more personal. It is the originality of this writing, which blends traditional notation, certain updates of what has been called the open work, his experience as a performer and improviser, and his knowledge of world music - in short, this "lack of academicism" - that attracts soloists and ensembles to him.
David Joignaux
percussionist
A graduate in percussion and chamber music from the classes of Michel Cerruti and Hae-Sun Kang at the CNSMD in Paris, David Joignaux is an eclectic musician, trained in multiple schools of percussion.
Winner of the Lyon International Timpani Competition, he also won the prize for best interpretation of Récit (Heinz Holliger), which was the world premiere at the time.
Il performs with national orchestras (Orchestre national de Lille) and also plays on period instruments (Le Concert de la Loge, Les Arts Florissants). He performs contemporary music as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles (Ensemble Cairn, Ensemble Variances). He composes music for shows, and explores the worlds of jazz, pop, traditional music... He plays the timpani, keyboards, drums and digital percussion. A multitude of genres combine to enrich his art.
