Sense the void is a composition for four loudspeakers designed to immerse an audience in a dense sound field, a theater of spatial, spectral and temporal oppositions.
Sense the void is broken down into several contexts, during which a continuum of sounds is diffused, unfurled, deployed and then escapes from one part of the space to fill another, or saturate them all at once, prompting the listener to question the concept of void.

Julien Bayle is a French artist and musician. His work takes the form of compositions, live audio-visual performances and installations. He is particularly interested in continuum rupture and deconstruction, most often approached through a combination of field-recording, granular synthesis and algorithmic generation. He questions concepts of opposition and polarity as well as phenomenology, persistence and decay.
