The trio Malqa delivers hypnotic, resolutely electronic noise, featuring a striking voice and an iconic vocal style that gradually draws the listener into a deep, total trance.
Blending unbridled pop-rock, contemporary music, and a timeless spirit, Malqa ventures into the improvisational realms of a new world. Malqa’s music is quite difficult to categorize, as it takes such hybrid paths.
The trio performs sets lasting about an hour, blending improvisation, noise, and electronic rhythms, with soundscapes that range from turbulent and dynamic to soothing and deep.

Lo Guénin
composer, musician, and sound artist
Composer, musician, and sound artist Lo Guénin, born in 1976, explores the relationship between creation, composition, performance, and architecture. Drawing on the ideas of H.D. Thoreau and the philosophers of Transcendentalism, he observes a world that is becoming increasingly sound-filled, in which humans—whether consciously or unconsciously—develop a functional way of listening to their ecosystem. In a new approach to sound ecology, his work is rooted in the landscapes he traverses—whether urban, industrial, or wild and natural. His graphic notation, resolutely aesthetic, questions the place and role of the composer, performers, and listeners within cultural institutions, as well as the practices of listening.
Éric Brochard
musician
Trained as a double bassist, Eric is constantly exploring and developing his sound by focusing on the (automatic) composition of movement, versatile rhythms, and melodic lines shaped by unexpected twists and turns... He imbues each of his performances with a ceremonial yet unpredictable quality by inventing organic music that is in perpetual motion. Today, Eric combines his work on the double bass with research into electronic effects, which he develops to create soundscapes centered on drones and using the Max/Msp software.
Kamilya Jubran
oud player and singer
Born in 1963 in Akko (Saint-Jean-d’Acre in Galilee) into a family of artists, Kamilya Jubran, an oud player and singer, explores uncharted territory, bridging the traditions of Arabic music with the creation of a thoroughly contemporary style. Kamilya Jubran is one of the very few artists on the scene to have opened up a space for reflection and creation in this area: by forging fruitful collaborations with top-tier Western musicians, blending classical sounds with improvisation and electronic environments, and setting her music to texts selected from great poets who are deeply rooted in the classical Arab tradition yet simultaneously highly modernist. Kamilya Jubran has lived in Europe since 2002. After initially settling in Switzerland, she moved to Paris a year later, where she currently resides.
