As part of the JEST festival—"Jamais d'Eux Sans Toi"—organized by AMI (Aide aux Musiques Innovatrices).

Karakoz, Mai Mai Mai’s new album, will be released in 2026 on Maple Death Records. True to her “Mediterranean hauntology” approach—which blends folklore, memory, and field recordings—the album emerged from a six-week residency in Ramallah and Bethlehem in 2024, in collaboration with Radio Alhara and Wonder Cabinet.
Cutrone drew inspiration from Palestinian musical traditions, the archives of the Popular Art Center, and local soundscapes, creating a dialogue between his industrial and ambient soundscapes and traditional songs, bouzouq, yarghul, and field recordings, enriched by contributions from Maya Al Khaldi, Julmud, Osama Abu Ali, and Alabaster dePlume. The title evokes Karakoz, the Ottoman shadow theater that symbolizes community: the album thus becomes a space for dialogue between memory and the present, from which a new Mediterranean mythology emerges.
