As part of CHRONIQUES — The Biennial of Digital Imaginaries.
[Unseen] ARCHIPEL explores the refrain and the voice as shifting forms that circulate and are transmitted through time and space. The installation consists of seven ceramic sound sculptures, designed by artist Eva Vedel, each incorporating a wireless speaker and a motion sensor. They play recorded voices from the Lyon-based vocal ensemble Stimmlippe and explore our relationship to care and fragility.
The public is invited to move the six mobile sculptures, place them in the hands of others, and thus become active participants in the polyphony, spatialization, and sonic encounters.
The presence of these objects invites a shared, slow, and cyclical moment, where listening is woven into the rhythm of manipulations and resonances.

Composer, sound artist
Clément Edouard is interested in how sound disrupts our states of consciousness and changes our relationship with places, time, and those around us. He creates immersive sound installations that connect matter, humans, and the senses in a moment of encounter and transformation.
