For this concert series, the Supersonique Festival presents a selection of electroacoustic works composed in 3D ambisonic sound. Ambisonics provides a precise auditory experience, with sounds precisely positioned in space. The sound system consists of a set of 25 speakers that surround the audience in three dimensions within the unique space of the GMEM Module.

Some of the pieces performed were selected through an international call for works from composers who work specifically with this type of setup.

The first concert will be preceded by a lecture on ambisonic sound by Lucas Fagot (PRISM-CNRS).
