Based on "Drakula halála" (The Death of Dracula), a silent Hungarian film directed by Károly Lajthay in 1921.
A loose film adaptation of the epistolary novel of the same name (1897) by Irish writer Bram Stoker, the film is now considered lost. All that remains are four publicity stills and a Hungarian novelization, written by Lajos Pánczél and published in 1924, the only means of partially grasping the script.

"Drakula halála" is said to be the world's first film about the character. It was created by Bram Stoker and produced in Budapest in 1921.
Before moving to Hollywood and winning an Oscar for "Casablanca", its co-writer Michael Curtiz began his career in Cluj-Napoca.

Since 2018, students from the Media Department at Sapientia University in Cluj have been taking part in a series of film workshops on celluloid, with the ultimate aim of making a remake of "Drakula halála", entirely lost in the 1940s.

The music for this ciné-concert was composed by French composer Miquèu Montanaro and will be performed by 12 instrumentalists.
