ExtraMod 6
The duo formed by Élise Dabrowski and Sébastien Béranger celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025. To mark the occasion, the two artists developed a new project centered on madness, fragmentation, and exuberant, jubilant auditory schizophrenia.
Language is fragmented, laid bare, revealed, separated and offered up, scattered in the air and (electro)acoustic space. Through meticulous decomposition, it finds its purpose and renewal.
This "trio for two" – voice, electronics, and (meta)cello – is a celebration of the present moment. Its nature, like that of music in general, is fundamentally ephemeral; its reality lies in its performance, its immediacy, its relationship with the listener and the concert. It is an experience based on exchange, intersection, experimentation, surprise, and shared pleasure, where each becomes the interpreter of the other.
The combination of voice and electronics, from the most insolent noise to the most sublime song, always means something; it always refers to something other than itself and creates a wide range of associations: cultural, musical, everyday, emotional, psychological, etc. The duality between acoustic instrumental sound and computer acousmatics works in the same way; it opens up the sound spectrum to unheard-of worlds.

Élise Dabrowski
Singer, instrumentalist
Élise Dabrowski is an opera singer, double bassist, improviser, and composer. It was during her early days with the Maîtrise de Radio France that she developed her attraction to contemporary music.
Since then, she has devoted herself to contemporary stage works, including pieces by Samuel Sighicelli (Chant d’hiver), Michaël Lévinas (La Métamorphose, Musica) with the Balcon ensemble, Fernando Fiszbein (Avenida de los Incas 3815, Opéra de Lille), Wolfgang Rihm (Jacob Lenz at the Théâtre de l'Athénée Louis Jouvet), and Alexandre Levy (Fauves at Next Opera Day).
She sometimes combines her two instruments (voice and double bass) in original projects and is active on the jazz and improvised music scene, both solo and alongside artists such as Louis Sclavis, Joëlle Léandre, and Fidel Fourneyron. She plays in a duo with Sébastien Béranger on electronics.
She founded her own company, TREPAK, to create her own lyrical forms with Eric Broitmann on electronics: Comment s’en sortir sans sortir with Claudine Simon in 2018, Pain Maudit in 2019, Choir in 2022, and Tomber Sans Bruit in 2024 at La Pop in Paris, where she is associate composer until 2026.
