A flutist, gambist, and composer, Eva Reiter weaves delicate connections between the melodies of John Dowland—a contemporary of Shakespeare—and recent works by composers such as Francesco Filidei, Jürg Frey, and Bernhard Gander.
A clear, vibrato-free voice, acoustic or electric guitar, and viola da gamba with subtle nuances—all lightly amplified—give rise to a patchwork of spellbinding miniatures: short bittersweet melodies, ostinatos in the style of Purcell, pop songs slowed down a hundredfold, and nocturnal confessions.

Ictus
contemporary music ensemble
Ictus is a contemporary music ensemble based in Brussels, founded in 1994 in the wake of the Rosas dance company. Founded at a time when ensembles were conceived as mini-orchestras composed of virtuoso soloists, Ictus has gradually evolved into a collective of creative musicians dedicated to experimental music in the broadest sense: written music, sound art, improvisation, and electronic music. Ictus is now run by the artists themselves and includes some thirty collaborators spanning three generations. Ictus has become a regular partner to numerous choreographers, curators, and large ensembles such as the Brussels Philharmonic and the Collegium Vocale Gent, while also developing its own projects in various formats. Its work is documented via a YouTube channel and an online archive featuring nearly 300 projects (ictus.be). The ensemble runs a post-Master’s program for young musicians in collaboration with the School of Arts Gent.
