Collaboration as part of the "Sleeping Landscape" Program.

In conjunction with the exhibition *L'été continué*, featuring the painter Jean Messagier, the Domaine Saint-Joseph — Atelier François Aubrun is hosting the *Paysage endormi / 03* residency from September 21 to October 18.

The interdisciplinary research residency invites a writer, a filmmaker, a researcher-chef, and a sound artist to explore the concept of landscape at the Domaine Saint-Joseph — Atelier François Aubrun, a site of significant heritage value.

It is in this context that GMEM and Paysage endormi have joined forces to select the winning sound artist: composer Sébastien Roux and his project titled *Les disparitions (ambiantes et acousmatiques)* (Disappearances [ Ambient and Acousmatic]).

*Les Disparitions* (ambient and acousmatic) is a research-creation project by Sébastien Roux focused on auditory attention and the transformations of listening. Using environmental sound recordings, the project explores the concept of “disappearance,” understood as the fading or masking of a sound source, but also as the gradual transformation of a soundscape.

Sébastien Roux is continuing this work along three lines: writing and research, the creation of a new site-specific piece inspired by the Domaine Saint-Joseph and/or Sainte-Victoire, and a public presentation. This new work will draw in particular on 3D sound recording techniques and a protocol designed to gradually shift the focus on the sounds of the landscape.

The residency will conclude with a panel discussion on October 17 at 4:00 p.m., which is free to anyone with an exhibition ticket.
