Instrumental rehearsal residency, staging, multi-channel broadcasting
The project is rooted in the reading and study of the collection of raw texts Et Pourquoi Moi Je Dois Parler Comme Toi? compiled by Anouk Grinberg in 2020.
The performative form of the piece, for one performer/singer, two musicians/actors and electroacoustic diffusion, features a dreamlike instrumental and live-machine set-up at the heart of which electric and organic voices intermingle.
"From the first time I read this collection of raw writings when it came out in 2020, it struck me as the confluence of many of my aesthetic and societal concerns. The rigor and dignity with which Anouk Grinberg has conducted this research work impress me as much as they inspire me. The language that springs from these pages, the music I hear in them, and the possibility of finally contemplating what lies beyond these stifled, abused and forgotten imaginations, inspire me to dream of a performative, theatrical, musical and embodied form. With Parler Comme Toi, we're working to 'transport' the literary force intrinsic to these writings to a sound and visual space in which these voices express themselves in new ways again and again."

Chloé Astor
performer, singer
"I love writing, singing and acting. I love it when the formality of writing reveals its substance, when languages invent themselves and words renew themselves, when speech becomes music and rhythm, with a vibrant, sonorous impact. As an actress, my performance always revolves around a form of musicality, with the challenge of remaining organic."
Trained at the Conservatoire Régional de Lyon and the Classe Libre des Cours Florent, Chloé Astor has performed on stage under the direction of Jacques Lassalle, Christian Schiarretti, Gwénaël Morin, Simon Delétang, Anne Coutureau and Zabou Breitman. She recently played Chrysothémis in Simon Abkarian's Électre des Bas-Fonds at the Théâtre du Soleil. In the cinema, she has appeared in several short and feature-length films directed by Clémence Poésy, Axelle Ropert, Louis-Julien Petit and François Ozon.
Chloé is also a singer and composes music for her own projects (Hector Salo, CavaleCavale).
She is involved in the sound design of several plays, including Sinon Nous Sommes Perdu.e.s by Joséphine Lévy and Oh mère by Asja Nadjar.
