The creative residency will enable the development of a computer program dedicated to the control and dynamic filtering of feedbacks between microphones and loudspeakers, and driving artificial reverberation effects. Based on spectral analysis, multiband compression and granular synthesis, the program will be at the heart of the Palimpseste (sostenuto) sound installation, for public presentation at the Propagations 2022 Festival. In a Conservatory hall at the Palais des Arts de Marseille, an ensemble of 19th-century pianos will be resonated by the electroacoustic device.
