The Orchestre National à Plectres de France (ONAP) was created in 2007 on the initiative of the Confédération Musicale de France (CMF).

Composed of mandolins, mandolas, mandoloncellos, guitars and double basses, it gathers every two years, during one week, musicians from all over France. The purpose of this orchestra is to create a high level ensemble, which can be a showcase and an ambassador of plectrum playing and to make its original repertoire known. It will be directed for the first time by Sébastien Boin, surrounded by the Quintette à plectres de France and artists in residence such as Raphaël Imbert or Raphaèle Biston.

It is part of the program of the 2nd Mandol'in Marseille Festival, whose artistic director is Vincent Beer-Demander.
