To be watched with the ears
Through the discovery of a few recipes gleaned by the Centre International Itinérant de Cuisine Ordinaire*, strolls aboard the Taxi poétique*, works from the precious and unique collection of the Musée Imaginaire de la Mémoire et des Arts Approximatifs* and a poem collected during a stay at 3bisf, we invite you on a sonic and visual journey into the world of L'Art de Vivre and the "occasional artists" we've met here and there.
A journey to the heart of our "Ateliers de Bricolage et d'Excentricité" (DIY and Eccentricity Workshops), where we worked with local residents who were willing - often unknowingly - to engage in whimsical forms of creation, playing with ideas, words and sounds. We asked them naïve questions and got unexpected, voluble answers. Their interest lay not so much in what was said, but in listening. By consenting to this letting-go, we sometimes discover that people aren't just where they seem to be...
This is how useless, priceless works of art can come into being...
*Shared creation devices created in Saint-Priest, a suburb of Lyon, at the invitation of the Centre Culturel Théo Argence, during a long-term residency called L'Archipel des arts occasionnels (2007 - 2009).
