PIANOANDCO is a production company founded in 2003 by pianist Nathalie Négro. Contemporary musical creation constitutes the central artistic axis around which all activities are deployed. PIANOANDCO is committed to promoting the contemporary repertoire, while contributing to the renewal of artistic expression, and isalso deeply involved in the process of transmitting music and raising public awareness of it.PIANOANDCO has just been awarded European funding - under the ERASMUS Plus program - for the EUROPE IN Cproject , based on Terry Riley's InCdeAproject in partnership with 5 port cities: Athens Ostend Trieste Rostock Dunkirk and Marseille.
Nathalie Négro

Born in Marseille, Nathalie Négro holds a degree in musicology and is a medal-winner at the Marseille and Nice Conservatoires. Since 1985, as a committed pedagogue, she has been teaching piano and transmitting music in a socially responsible manner to a variety of audiences, including in prisons, psychiatric wards and sensitive groups. In 2003, she founded PIANOANDCO, a production structure, to give her artistic encounters real scope for expression.
Her vast repertoire, which ranges from classical to improvised music, has been built up through contact with such musical personalities as György Kurtag, Yvonne Loriod and Pierre Laurent Aimard. Her encounter with American pianist Jay Gottlieb proved decisive. She works with ensembles such as Capricorn in London, Musiques Nouvelles in Belgium, Ars Nova in Poitiers, Art Zoyd in Valenciennes...Programmed by Scènes nationales in France, as well as festivals abroad, she performs extensively in Europe, around the Mediterranean and as far afield as Nigeria. Across the Atlantic, she is a guest at the Orford Art Centre in Canada...
Nathalie Négro created J'ai des milliers de gestes in 2009, presented at the FDAmM - Festival de danse et arts Multiples de Marseille, and 80 000 000 de vues as part of Marseille Provence 2013, presented at the Opéra de Reims, Théâtre de Mâcon, Théâtre en Dracénie de Draguignan, Bateau Feu de Dunkerque, Hippodrome de Douai, Phénix de Valenciennes, Nouveau conservatoire de Puteaux...
In 2016, following an international call for applications, she was selected for an artist residency by Dunkerque-Grand Littoral. With Cross by, her latest creation, she explores new horizons in the digital realm.
