Shadows & Secrets
He sends images, he prepares sounds, they send balls back and forth, they rhythm them like the notes of a musical architecture. He is a murchitect, he is an archisian, together Oil and professor Pou make an imaginary construction - impalpable and sensitive - projected in the interior space of the Module - the octopus as its designer calls it. They draw the contours of a sound space that will start in Marseille and extend to the Alps, via China, passing through sumptuous landscapes. The musician builds the foundations and the architect provides the materials to extend the implementation. A duo of masons, two authors who think in the dark and shine in the sun.

"Monstre" is a series of "architecture concerts" proposed by the Maison de l'Architecture et de la Ville (MAV PACA). Mute conferences" organized in remarkable buildings where an architect and a musician fill the place with sounds and images, in a sound and visual performance.
After Monstre #1 with Rodolphe Burger & Rudy Ricciotti at the MuCEM, here is Monstre #2 with Matthieu Poitevin, the architect of the Friche la Belle de Mai and of the Module, who invests the Module with Dj Oil for a "conf/cert d'architecture": a silent conference where an architect and a musician fill the place with sounds and images in a sound and visual performance.

" ... I am an architect frichier. I am a craftsman of architecture. I try to do it and to make it the best possible. The thing that interests me in doing this job is to try to find a way to arouse the imagination and the pleasure it can give. When I make a project, I am not directly interested in the object, the target is what can be around this object: what it can generate and its consequences. I often confuse architecture and poetry. "To paint not the thing but the effect that it produces" wrote Stéphane Mallarmé. The circus, the show, the magic, and then the horizon all the time because the horizon, said Hugo, it is the only way to underline the infinite. So I try to stay close to the limits, to know how far we can go and to know how close the project can get to its truth until it can break down. If it breaks down, it's because it goes too far, if it stops just before, it's because we didn't make too many mistakes. And architecture is a story of commitment: you have to go for it, you have to have courage, you have to go for it and be yourself (not so simple). Architecture is first and foremost a way of projecting the world in order to find one's place in it... "
DJ OIL
DJ
Lionel Corsini, aka Dj Oil, musician "My name is Dj Oil, I am a musician and producer of several projects including the group Troublemakers - one of the spearheads of the French Touch with signatures on labels such as Guidance in Chicago or Blue Note in New York. I feed off my travels around Africa and the South American continent and have been producing very cinematic and autobiographical albums for a few years around my favorite themes: politics and a practice of music as a means of communication, direct and without net. This project is a way for me to get closer to another artist without concession and to create with him an imaginary architectural work, visual and sound.
