Residence for the mixing of the recording of the laudio art book adapted from Alain Damasio's novel Les Furtifs (ed. La Volte, 2019), a science-fiction score for spoken voice and instrumental ensemble.

Alain Damasio's novel, Les Furtifs, was a dazzling read. In a world saturated with images, a world where we look without seeing, a world where we hear without listening, Alain Damasio portrays a society of total surveillance, where emancipation nestles in the blind spots of our perceptions.

Then came the obvious step of adapting this "heady" tale for the stage in a science-fiction score for spoken voices and instrumental ensemble. L'Oratorio FURTIF is a new musical variation on the novel, created by Xavier Charles - composer and clarinettist - and Laëtitia Pitz - director - and performed by an orchestra of 9 musicians and 4 actors. Xavier Charles has devised a form of writing that allows text and music to exist side by side in a very special way.

And now La Volte has produced a beautiful edition of the oratorio, combining drawn scores and booklet in a single reading medium, accompanied by the studio album.

Released on January 20, 2024 at the MC93 in Bobigny, during the revival of Les Furtifs from January 19 to 21, 2024 inclusive.
