Cécile Le Prado goes to meet the spaces of the 3 bis f and the Montperrin Hospital and their resonances of yesterday and today to compose a sound work in intimate dialogue with the places.
The title L'esquive refers to the way to escape surreptitiously from a situation or a place, to slip into the interstices, to disappear and perhaps reappear elsewhere.
It is about going to see the other side of the walls, whether they are material or mental, perhaps both at the same time, to glimpse other worlds, other imaginary landscapes.
The performance is a conversation between Dominique Pifarély on the violin and his electroacoustic device, extending the initial sound material of the musical composition.
The installation seeks to blend into the garden's setting, into its memory, to color it in a certain way through sound.
The compositional work begins with the constitution of a sound palette followed by the creation of dynamic temporal and spatial behaviors of the musical forms resulting from this palette. Small, non-visible sound sources are integrated into the vegetation and furniture of the garden: on the ground, the sound moves according to the shapes of the plantations, volutes, squares, etc. In the bushes, at mid-height, the sound delimits a listening territory. In the trees, the sound projected towards the ground builds a kind of canopy...

Cécile Le Prado
After studying electroacoustic music, she became interested in the sound landscape and the multiple listening spaces offered to a "listening walker". Successive encounters with different research and musical creation centers such as Ina-GRM, Ircam, CESARE, GMEM have led to the emergence of the spatialization of sound as a parameter of musical writing. This has resulted in numerous sound installations on sites such as the Parc de la Villette in Paris, the Prieuré de La Charité-sur-Loire and the sound courtyard of the Familistère de Guise, as well as in research work carried out within the CEDRIC laboratory. Her doctoral thesis is entitled Ecriture sonore : entre déterminisme, émergence et interactivité. She has collaborated with different choreographers such as Emmanuelle Huynh, Hervé Robe, Santiago Sampere as well as with artists such as Christian Boustani, Henri Colomer, Anne Durez, Alain Escale. In addition, she teaches and directs several training courses on sound and interactivity at the CNAM, Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, as well as at the University of Technology of Cologne (THK/Cologne Game lab).
Dominique Pifarély
Soloist as well solicited by the French and international scene, his work as an improviser is particularly highlighted in the solo recital as well as in duo with the pianist François Couturier, or in trio with the clarinetist Louis Sclavis and the cellist Vincent Courtois. He also performs with his quartet, and his attachment to poetry and literature leads him to collaborate regularly with the soprano and improviser Géraldine Keller, as well as with contemporary authors such as François Bon, Violaine Schwartz or Claude Favre. Regularly present on European stages, he also performs in the United States, Canada, Japan, Latin America, India, the Middle East and Africa).
Gaëtan Parseihian
Gaëtan Parseihian is a sound artist and composer of electroacoustic music, who is interested in the hybridization between nature and technology. In 2006, he participated in the creation of Brane Project, a structure that works on the spatialization of sound and within which he composes in multiphonic. He developed his writing at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental (CRD) in Pantin, then at the Cité de la Musique in Marseille, and performs his pieces on various multidiffusion devices. At the same time, he is a researcher in acoustics and focuses his work on sound perception, human/machine interfaces, spatialization techniques and the perception of sound in space. He has worked at the LIMSI-CNRS (Computer Science Laboratory for Mechanics and Engineering Sciences), at the LMA-CNRS (Mechanics and Acoustics Laboratory) and at the PRISM-CNRS (Perception Representation Image Sound and Music) laboratory. He is an artist associated with the Deletere collective and is part of the SOMA collective.
