One must have a taste for sounds (and not the fear) to survey the countryside and the forests for nights, ears wide open to the sounds they produce, to what they sing during those hours when we humans are usually asleep. Jean-Christophe Marti, musician and music composer, happens to be this nocturnal surveyor. From these rich sound harvests, he makes compositions. He is currently working on a musical project based on bird songs. He transposes them for the voice, tries to put words on some.
He invites children and teenagers to a practical workshop (listening, writing, interpretation) to transmit to them some keys of what is the passion and the job of a composer.
"I am planning a workshop around one of my creations for children's voices called "Remue-ramage". It is a creation on the words heard / created from the songs of birds, in Occitan (we call that "mimologisms", the learned name which indicates the fact of putting words on songs of birds. What I imagine is to have the children do a bit of creative work starting from listening to a few bird songs, then to collectively compose and sing a melody from this source." Jean-Christophe Marty
The simple conferences
Moments of intelligence and transmission shared between adults and young people, these simple conferences, proposed to the youngest by the director Xavier Marchand (Cie Lanicolacheur), offer a space to personalities of various horizons. Researchers, artists, doctors, testify about the path and the passion that led them to their discipline and their profession. Addressed to children, these conferences are personal stories where they tell about their journey, testifying about what made them curious about life and the world.
The parents accompany the children, but only the children ask the questions. To a simple question simple answer, but that does not exclude neither the accuracy, nor the depth. The popularization is a noble exercise... especially addressed to young people.

Cie Lanicolacheur
The Lanicolacheur company is interested in a theater of language, of the word, generally based on non-theatrical writings. Poetry, history, ethnography or politics are fields from which theatrical forms emerge, themselves crossed by music, video, dance, operetta...
Based in Marseille for the last fifteen years, Xavier Marchand puts the word and languages at the center of his scenic devices.
