These workshops are part of the GMEM's "sensitization and initiation" program, designed to enable school audiences to explore the vast field of creative music (contemporary, experimental, electroacoustic or electronic).

The program is divided into several phases over the course of a school year, with the aim of providing students with the keys to listening and understanding, as well as awakening their artistic sensibilities. It can be adapted to the needs of each school and the approach of its teaching teams. Awareness-raising workshops, the first milestone in this pathway, enable school audiences to attend a session to discover the tools and languages of today's musical creation. They are divided into two parts:

A theoretical section based on musical examples from the repertoire (electroacoustic, experimental and contemporary), to familiarize you with the main concepts shared by many of today's composers and musicians.

A practical part based on the discovery of different modes of live playing linked to musical creation. Students are encouraged to experimentally manipulate sound production devices and organize them within a musical framework.
