IRI is a live radio drama project for an electro-acoustic composer and five actors.
A hybrid creation combining music, theater and radio.
This five-part futuristic tale tells the story of Lou, a young adult who finds herself mysteriously cloistered in her teenage bedroom. Faced with unanswered questions, family and friends can only resign themselves to arranging her strange hermitage.
Outside, people are chanting the name "Generation Z" and the mysterious ailment they seem to be suffering from: TMCD (Trans Mystic Clostral Depression). We discuss the measures we need to take before it's too late.
This intimate and social story, both corrosive and mysterious, unfolds as a form of investigation into a society in crisis. The scenic creation builds a sound and musical universe that retranscribes its enigmatic, poetic and ironic tone. The actors' performances, amplified voices and live sound effects are combined with a sound composition that draws on a range of influences: radio writing, concrete and melodic music. A minimalist staging, playing on what is seen or hidden, immerses the audience in the sound device.
