Another country invites visitorsto follow a little train that winds its way through objects taken from a piano.
Ingeniously evocative, this stage installation immerses the audience in an experimental soundscape.
By engaging both the ears and the eyes, the piece sharpens the perception of young and old alike and subtly sparks everyone’s imagination.
The music, inspired by the theme of travel, leads us to astonishing, fantastical, or imaginary lands.
The focus here is on sonic territories: the boundaries between note and sound, music and noise, instrumental gesture and movement, concrete and electronic sound, and what is standardized versus what is not.
The work unfolds through a sound and spatial composition that evokes a true cinematic experience for the ears. Scenes unfold in which sound plays tricks, contradicts the image, and creates moments that are sometimes comical.

Claudine Simon
Pianist
Claudine Simon is a pianist and artist who creates sound works focused on experimenting with the craftsmanship and capabilities of her instrument. A versatile musician, she has a particular interest in works that blur the boundaries between music, dance, and visual art. She trained at the CNSMD in Paris under Jean-François Heisser and Pierre-Laurent Aimard. In 2021, she premiered *Pianomachine*, a choreographed solo piece that reimagines the musician-instrument relationship using a piano hybridized with machines. In 2023, she premiered*Musica Anatomia*, a sound and visual piece at the festival that deconstructs a piano and a romantic recital scene. She has received writing grants from the Beaumarchais-SACD Foundation and commissions from the GMEM and Césaré (CNCM—Reims), and is a laureate of the “Mondes Nouveaux” call for proposals from the Ministry of Culture. Her works have been performed at the Bouffes du Nord, in the Scènes Nationales, at opera houses (Lyon, Reims, Dijon), at the Musica Festival (Strasbourg), and at the CNCMs.

Maeva Prigent
Designer, visual artist
From sculpture to photography, through sound and publishing, mediums are treated as equals and viewed as a source of wonder, displacement, and encounters. After a year in a preparatory program in the humanities, she enrolled at the Duperré School, where she earned a Master’s degree in artisanal ceramics (2014) and then a DSAA (2016).
After completing her studies in applied arts, and alongside her artistic practice, she resumed her university studies in aesthetics while training in metalwork.
