Research residency.

Espaces blancs is a form of sensitive cartography, halfway between a visual installation and a concert, a form of musical theater designed to give voice to the intimate relationship we have with the landscape we cross and the variations that affect it. The aim is to show how the landscape changes, passes through and disappears, whether visibly or in memory.

The dramaturgy is based on a collection of audio testimonies used as a basis for textual writing and composition. The form will be shaped by questions of matter and rhythm: the slow dislocation of a place, its abrupt change, the relationship between urban and wild space... The research and crafting of sound, at the heart of the project, require close collaboration between the composer and the instrumentalists. The emerging form will include improvised parts.

The scenography unfolds in the form of large frames supporting an aggregate of cards, papers and surfaces, and the various sound sources on stage. These frames also reveal the space in which they are deployed, alongside the performers, revealing "white spaces".
