ELSE
An acousmatic tribute to the Danish composer Else Marie Pade'.
ELSE is a musical project composed and directed by Jean Galmiche in collaboration with author and actress Julie Cardile and composer and violinist Hugo Van Rechem.
This electroacoustic piece for acousmatic diffusion and mixed stage performance is a tribute to the Danish composer and pioneer of electronic music, Else Marie Pade.
A pioneer in the use of the synthesizer, a pupil of Schaeffer and Stockhausen, an early feminist resistance fighter specializing in explosives, everything in the work and life of this great composer is a source of inspiration and admiration for me.
Her first sound discoveries are said to have been inspired by the rumor of the outside world, perceived through the partitions of her bedroom. Bedridden for months on end due to Pyelonephritis, Else became fascinated by these re-tuned "timbres of reality", and developed a boundless imagination of new sounds.
ELSE is the second show produced and hosted by Pschit, whose first production, EVA/ADONIADA(2022), continues to be presented during the 23/24 season, with support from DRAC Île-de-France, CNM and Adami.

Trained at the Conservatoire in guitar and classical music theory, then at the American School of Modern Music, from which I graduated in 2014, I joined the Electroacoustic Composition class at the CRR de Paris in 2015.
Over the past ten years, I've been involved in numerous musical projects as an instrumentalist, composer and arranger in the fields of classical music, modern jazz, alternative and experimental music.
I maintain close links with the theatrical world, notably through my collaborations as composer and performer with Théâtre de la Suspension, the companies Full Petal Machine, Pierres d'Attente, Babel, Mistons, File Agathe, Pavillon 33, l'Eternel Eté and the visual artists Alix Boillot and Juliette Minchin.
