This music is composed in the present and progresses by sound imaginations. Body and mind, stereotypes of concrete and abstract, are united here to become presence and movement.
This piece is in the interval between the open work and the electroacoustic piece. And it is through the meeting of two people that a sound universe is invented. The breath guides the gestures and draws a new form. Then the piano and the electronics exchange, discuss. Sometimes they are a single voice, sometimes they discord. They dialogue, in search of a balance between body and thought and its immediate musicality.
Isotta Trastevere
composer
Isotta Trastevere has been passionate about music since she was a child and after a career in theater and video production, she began experimenting with music. In 2003, she enrolled in an electroacoustic composition course at the Marseille Conservatory. Today, she is pursuing her research at the University of Aix-Marseille (PRISM laboratory) with a thesis in Practice and theories of artistic creation. With a group of artists she founded Radio Nunc, an independent web radio for sound creation. Her acousmatic pieces have been performed in France (Festival Futura) and abroad (MusLab).
Hélène Pereira
pianist
Hélène Pereira trained with Christine Hartley (a student of Claudio Arrau) who taught her for several years the art of playing with the whole body, focusing on the construction of sounds through gestures, through a global body awareness. She then perfected her skills with Bernard Ringeissen at the Conservatory of Rueil-Malmaison (Prize for excellence in piano and numerous first prizes in chamber music). After graduating from the Sorbonne (Master "Music-Languages-Literature" with a thesis on the musical setting of Charles Baudelaire's poems), she regularly accompanies lyrical recitals at the Studio Théâtre de la Comédie Française, but also Master Classes of Rachel Yakar, François Le Roux, Christa Ludwig... Passionate about the mixing of arts and their interaction, she collaborates on numerous projects with dancers, photographers, painters, puppeteers, writers, visual artists... and refines her passion for improvisation with François Rossé. Her commitment to creative music has led her to work in close collaboration with many composers. She is notably the author of several scores. Pianist of the Yin Ensemble, dedicated to creative music (an ensemble that performs in many festivals in France and around the world), she multiplies musical projects, notably with the violinist Jean-Christophe Selmi or the pianist Alise Diaz (with whom she forms the Duo Cantilène). Her CD "AZOTH" on the Col Legno label, devoted to pieces by French composers Dominique Lemaître, François Rossé, Philippe Festou, Rey Eisen, Robert Coinel, Régis Campo and Hugues Dufourt, highlights contemporary music for piano. Attached to the transmission of her art, she also teaches piano at the Conservatoire de Martigues.
