Presented within the framework of MANIFESTA 13 - European Biennial of Contemporary Creation The Parallels of the South

Chœur tac-til invites you to make a drone choir : Masked or unmasked it is possible to sing in "bone voice" that is to say that the conduction of the sound is done by the bones (closed mouth) and not by air (open mouth).

It is also a strategy to emit a sound, without distinguishing where the source comes from... these sounds emitted collectively constitute as much a tool of care as a tool of resistance, threatening, unassignable...

"For women, and for any group challenging oppression, healing is a political act" - Dreaming the Dark, Starhawk

"Our vocal pieces are inspired by ecosystems, avant-garde and ancestral vocal practices. We are ten voices. Sighted, blind, visually impaired, we have been exploring together for 8 years and are in residence at the GMEM.

We collaborate with improvisers and composers (J.L Guionnet, Eric la Casa, Aude Romary, Michel Doneda...). We go in search of different sound ecosystems (familiar and/or unknown). We sing with the environment and the invisible. We listen to the noises and sounds of biotopes, machines, endangered species. We operate a kind of sound taxidermy, then we make them fork towards hybridizations, possible mutations." - Natacha Muslera
