Nocturne-performance at the Frac, as part of the Printemps de l'art contemporain
As part of the Printemps de l'art contemporain, the Frac opens its doors at night.
On this occasion, in collaboration with the GMEM, the artist Loïse Bulot proposes a performative and sonorous highlight, Aurae.
Evoking the "Station" Solaris, the sounds create a circulation, a path, patterns drawing themselves in space, playing with materials and frequencies of the place through transducers.
The live version of this piece is inspired by the settings described in the 1961 science fiction novel Solaris by Polish author Stanisław Lem, bringing forth living forms from perpetually moving matter...

Loïse Bulot
Visual artist and composer, Loïse Bulot explores fantastic, microscopic, living worlds, but also the relationship between visual and sound. Her electroacoustic or mixed pieces are inspired by celestial phenomena or the observation of micro-organisms, finding correspondences between forms, textures, colors and sounds.
Since 2015, she creates shows and performances bringing together drawing, image manipulation, video, shadow theater and music with the musician Nicolo Terrasi and the collective Poliedrica.
She creates images or composes music for live performances, in particular for young audiences (Cie Skappa! Madame Glou, Cie Risonanze).
She also offers workshops on artistic practices with children and adults.
Winners of the Passerelle, Luigi Russolo, Banc d'Essai, SIME and Petites Formes competitions, her visual and musical works have been presented in France and abroad.

The Aurae performance of Loïse Bulot
Loïse Bulot explores the memetic, the fantastic and the surreal. Her visual and sound work borrows fragments from everyday life that she draws or sticks like important mementos: those on the fridge, or noted in red on a notepad. Except that what she notes in red is the drawing of a red cardinal that suddenly monopolizes someone's thoughts. What she notes in red is a poppy that fights against the wind, or the "harmonic clouds" that compose her graphic scores.
Loïse connects images and sound. Between the chimeras of her drawings, the diaphanous veil of the watercolor and the textures of her scores, we oscillate between the mist of a field and the sky during the song of the birds: a living spectacle of colors and sounds.
For the PAC nocturne, she will interpret the landscapes described in the novel Solaris of Stanislas Lem, by her drawing and her watercolor, by her music also. A performance that is almost breathable of sensations, representing ephemeral and gaseous worlds.
