This workshop for instrumentalists and non-instrumentalists is intended, in priority, for students in electroacoustic composition, or visual arts - sound orientation
During these practice sessions, we will decentralize the issue of the tool - be it a conventional musical instrument, voice or sound body, electronics, etc. - to focus on more performative parameters: involvement of the body, apprehension of space, management of time and form, immediate arrangement. -
Using instantaneous composition tools, we will build sound spaces and use listening as a main vector.
This cycle takes place over 8 sessions.
We will build a collective dimension, and if you are interested in the workshop, it is important to participate in a maximum of dates.
Necessary material to be chosen from the following list:
- conventional acoustic or electronic musical instruments
- original lutheries
- sound bodies of all origins, any object producing sound
- voice
On site, possibilities of amplification: microphones, line inputs

Composer François Wong is interested in sound in its vertical state (digging into matter) and in its temporal organization. He designs pieces and devices for instrument or sound installation, with listening as his main guide.
His projects(Agartha, saxophone and electronics), Fil de Son, (walking and sound recording of the landscape) are the subject of regular writing residencies (GMEM, Muse en Circuit, GMEA...).
