As part of the 10th edition of Parallèle
Let's go for a world tour of urban dances!
A journey from Asia to the United States, through Latin America, Africa and Europe. This danced conference offers a live form of urban dance around the world that is both spectacular and educational.
With the help of video projections, Ana Pi evokes, without claiming to be exhaustive, the immense variety of dances practiced in the streets of the world's major cities: Krump in Los Angeles, Dancehall in Kingston, Pantsula in Johannesburg, Voguing in New York... For each of them, the artist recounts the sociological and political context that saw its emergence and its link to music. For it is always music that inspires these forms of dance and encounters.
