Propagations is a festival for all kinds of creative music and sound experimentation.
From written instrumental music to the most unexpected performances, all aesthetics are accompanied by original scenic forms, seeking to anchor a committed, sincere and intimate relationship between artistic teams and audiences.
Familiar and unheard-of instruments, immersive sound diffusion devices, sound transformation and artistic multidisciplinarity combine and combine to offer you the experience of sound in all its forms.

Editorial by Christian Sebille, Director of GMEM - Centre national de création musicale
Year after year, the GMEM flourishes with the projects that come to life here and the people who shape them. With one objective in mind: to become a resource within the world of musical creation.
To this end, we are extending our roots in the heart of our home territory (the Friche Belle de Mai cooperative, the city of Marseille and the PACA region) to project our action on a national scale and beyond.
By crossing artistic and scientific experiments, aesthetics and disciplines, we weave transversal values that contribute to our public service missions.
The Propagation 2024 Festival reflects this image.
Research, professional training and amateur practice rub shoulders with installations and the most accomplished forms that make up today's creation and tomorrow's repertoire.
The public, sometimes spectators, sometimes users, are an essential counterpoint, feeding their curiosity and enthusiasm into a project that we hope will be as much artistic as societal.
